We are located 132 miles west of the Denver International Airport. It takes about 2.5 hours to drive from Denver to Beaver Creek, and there are various ground transportation options that offer door-to-door service between the two locations (either group shuttle or private car). Eagle County Regional Airport is only 27 miles away (about a 35 minute drive).
In terms of the ski lifts, we live right on the Beaver Creek golf course, and from our window you can see the gondola that transports skiers from the Avon parking lot to the chairlift. The closest lift is called the Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express; it is about a ten minute walk, or you can use the footbridge that the neighbors at the end of our street have built that allows you to ski directly to the lift. The main Beaver Creek Mountain lifts are two miles up the hill, and are visible from the end of our street. A complimentary shuttle service provides transportation to and from the mountain (as well as to any other destination within the Beaver Creek/Arrowhead area). They recommend that you allow 10-20 minutes for pick up after you place your pick-up request. The shuttle operates from various Beaver Creek locations every 10-20 minutes until 5:00 p.m., at which point you need to request pick up.
Children's Ski School at Beaver Creek is located approximately two miles away, at the Gerald R. Ford Hall, between the Park Hyatt and McCoy's Cafe. The official website (available here) will provide you with more information on the school itself.
